There was a time, really not all that long ago, that I DESPISED the flipping birds chirping, singing, and acting all happy to just be alive on a beautiful sun shiny morning. Not to mention the sun beaming through my window in my eyes as I am laying in bed trying to pretend I am really still sleeping. This normally meant that I did not have to get up in the morning to work and was most likely the weekend. The only times I really got to sleep in… Normally ending up with and annoying UGHHHH and So much for that. Tell me you can not relate or couldn’t at some point.
This morning I woke up at the ass crack of dawn to take my girl to work. After seeing the beautiful sunrise, only to be even more beautiful mirrored by the pond, I decided to stay up and get my workout in early and have my shake on my patio. This has become an awesome daily ritual for me, not normally so early. As I was sitting there, just being able to be present in the moment I really got to see the beauty in what I have spent way too many years despising. I could actual sit here overlooking the water and actually enjoying the birds singing and chirping as they were bouncing from branch to branch, as the crickets and the bullfrogs wind down for the day. Watching the sun rising as it was glistening off of the water.
It really made me think about how amazing life is when you can enjoy the amazing feeling of peace and serenity when we stop and actually be present in the exact moment where we are. That moment when we are not rushed or coasting our way through life. No pressure from work, bosses, emails, social media, spouses, children, chores, running around, chasing this and that.
When was the last time that you got to take a moment for you? A moment just to stop and smell the roses or enjoy the little things in life? How would it change your life if you had a moment to rethink those things that you think you despise, just because you don’t have the time to enjoy them? Let me know I would love to hear all about it. Email me back or let me know on social media or my page with #littlemoments @ https://www.facebook.com/FullerLifeLLC/
Let’s encourage everyone to take a moment to stop and enjoy them as well!!! I can’t wait to see and read about your little moments of peace and serenity.
